(AVI), the leader in aerospace valve design and manufacture for 60 years, recently upgraded their manufacturing system to streamline their quoting process, improve inventory management and gain better quality traceability in shipping and purchasing, and INDUSTRIOS has their business processes flowing.
AVI has a 13 year history using INDUSTRIOS so when it came time to improve their business processes they looked to the strengths of the latest INDUSTRIOS version. With new inventory analysis functionality, product categorization capabilities, reporting, user defined fields and greater depth in all areas, AVI has enjoyed time savings while implementing better processes that benefit them in the area of quality certifications and inventory management.
As part of their upgrade, and rather than hiring an additional head count, AVI decided to implement the Quoting module to manage their constant flow of quotes and take advantage of the automation it offered. They now produce quotes 75% faster, and offer shorter lead times with the ability to view component availability during the quoting process and a provide an “earliest available” date rather than their standard 90 day lead time. Leveraging customer categorizations and price matrix functionality helps speed up the quoting whle automating the win process allows them to get won quotes into production quicker.
